Automated, interactive video content could improve hand-washing practices to reduce healthcare-associated infections

Findings from a new study published today suggest that automated smart technology, including video engagement, could help improve hand-hygiene practices to reduce the spread of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). The findings, which appear in the American Journal of Infection Control (AJIC), the journal of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC), also suggest how this type of creative intervention could be adapted to sustain better hand-washing practices long-term.
